Employment Essentials

Here are some useful tools we’ve gathered to help make employment easier for you.

Fair Work Information Statement

Employers have to give every new employee a copy of the Fair Work Information Statement (the FWIS) before, or as soon as possible after, they start their new job. For more information visit the Fair Work website.

Employers also have to give every new casual employee a copy of the Casual Employment Information Statement (the CEIS) at the same time.

Employment Contract Tool

Build your own employment contract, for an employee under Australia's Fair Work System, that is tailored to your business needs. It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Before you start, you need to know the name of the industry award. When complete, you’ll have a downloadable word document including a contract and letter of offer. Create your contract here.

JobMaker Hiring Credit

The Australian Government has implemented the JobMaker Hiring Credit for businesses to employ additional young job seekers aged 16–35.

Eligible employers can access the credit for each eligible additional employee they hire between 7 October 2020 and 6 October 2021. Find out more here.
